Lakenheath Run 17th October 2015

A run up to Lakenheath for Colin and John, for six USMC Hornets due in midday.

After a Saturday lay in for a change it was a late start for a Suffolk run. We decided to forego the usual round of the local Luton and head straight for Lakenheath.

With the Hornets safely bagged it was over to Mildenhall and hopefully filling the remaining gaps from the based Osprey's and Herc's.

Pleased with picking off the last of the Herc's, and leaving one Osprey to get, we headed off back south.

Only the two Manx aircraft troubled the log at Cambridge, and with light fading we headed to Stanny.

The Russian Embraer was a nice frame, as was the gap filling American Global.

Finally back home, only one Gulfstream made the notepad.

Not a bad little jolly all in all, happy to have made some active mil in England for a change!
