Next it was off to the Air Base where a few preserved frames were on the list. It was a bit foggy when we got here but we were sure we'd still see the Gate Guards. The Mirage F1 was easily found. The SRF-5 was not where it should have been...there was just an empty plinth. Then the fog was so dense there was no point looking further. Time to cut our losses and put Zaragoza back on the 'to-do' list.

We asked about the storage area but was told it was out of bounds at present. It will be the second hall for the museum and is all set up ready for when the military give them the permission to open it up. No time scale was known.
From the museum you can see some of the Heli-Dax EC120s if they are landing from the right direction. We had time to spare thanks to the Zaragoza mist so had a look at the aeroclub (no access) did a circuit and found a place to sit up and watch the EC120s play.
