Too early for the usual brekkie, the extra kip time won, so it was straight through to airside where HA-LYO was waiting to operate the W68122. A 45 minute delay was not part of the plan...
Not a lot happening at Kaunas but always nice to start with a Let-410

If you are interested, we weren't, there is a replica of an ANBO 41 marked 676 hanging in the car rental terminal.
With the hire car picked up it was time to head over to the Helisota facility where we were given a tour. Only two Mi-8s present, one unmarked and id'd by the c/n, the other on maintenance and an old friend for all of us.

Over to Aleksotas for the museum and the GA drome. The museum wanted €15 per person for using your camera or it was free if you used your phone. Cameras locked in the office and we were off. Two hangars accessed at the field. The academy were happy for us to have a look but no photos, no problem in the other one.

Next was Utena. A good 18 inches of virgin snow blocked access to the hangar. One for another day.
Zarasai was the next stop but the road up to the gate was again thick snow. Abort, abort, abort...was what Snoop was thinking, but we tried anyway. Big mistake...
After some 45 minutes of digging and pushing, we finally managed to escape the snow here. But, seeing Nay go down in the snow a couple of times kept morale high :-) Even LB had a slip...
