Poland - 20th - 24th November 2014 Day 1

Feeling the need to escape the winter and go somewhere warm a plan was hatched...Poland it is!

The three hardy souls for this trip were Colin, Darren and John. 

We opted for the later flight from STN so as to be in place for the Friday and make the most of the short days, it gets dark at 1500-1530L.

EI-DWA got us to Modlin in just under two hours which made it approx 2100L upon arrival. Modlin is quiet to say the least and bar the plane we got off the ramp held all of the following

We had a couple of bits to look for on the way to to the hotel at Chopin but the dark prevented anything from being seen, some for another time.

Our hotel for the first night was the Noclegi Okecie Pod Lipami which is walking distance from Warsaw-Okecie/Chopin.After checking in and unloading we set off for a 2300 stroll round the block to see the first of many preserved aircraft.
