Berlin to Poland - 23rd - 29th March 2016 Day 4

The first stop for day 4 was to be Seczkowo, but on route we passed through a town called Malechowo. Just on the outskirts we saw a Kruk on the side of the road. This was displayed at a small museum called Fort Marian at these co-ords - 54.298406, 16.503015

At Seczkowo it was still early so we decided to not knock on the door. Only two Mi-2's were outside in bare metal. (credit Tony Morris for the ID's)

The next stop was Darlowo, home to the Polish Navy Mi-14's.

Two GA fields in a row were next, Palowo and Slupsk-Crepa, both were deserted and gated. More blanks. Seems this was going to be a frustrating time for the GA dromes.

Back to the preserved bits, Slupsk gate guards beckoned.

Onwards we passed Siemirowice AB, there was nothing out on the ramps and we failed to find the Lim-6 on the gate. But we did get the Lim in the nearby town.

Another GA drome on the list next, we never made it though! The old faithful Tom Tom decided it would be good to cross some farmers fields! To be honest I'd seen worse roads in Poland so didn't really worry too much. However the track suddenly turned a lot worse and we quickly became grounded!

After about twenty minutes of pushing and shoving we got it out and made a tactical withdrawal.

Back on the road we headed for Puck, and a Mi-2.

Originally we had planned to end the day here, but we had made up a lot of time from the night before. So we opted to get some more dromes done.

First up was the army base at Pruszcz Gdanski. After reading a few of the Mi-2's we were approached by a civilian who worked on base. He enquired what we were doing and wanted to check with the security guys.

After around twenty minutes an officer came to the gate who spoke English. He told us to promptly vacate the area or he would call the Police. Not wanting to argue we just left. We would take a sneak peek again in the morning from the aeroclub side.

Nothing on the ramps at the Mig base, so just the GG noted. Time was now getting on so we headed back to Gdansk and our hotel.

Just the German Cherokee to trouble the log at the main drome, a few Wizz were there but not logged. Heading for our hotel down the road we came across a Robin outside a restaurant.

Another day done it was time for some food and our hotel. The Villa B&B was a nice small hotel run by a Dutch guy. He recommended some local cuisine and we left to eat. Sadly the locals were closed so we settled for a KFC!
